Rebellion in Code - Conclusion
Welcome to this five-part Substack series (plus an addendum/preview, an abstract of recent supporting proofs, introduction and conclusion) exploring the 'big picture' of AI alignment. Building on my previous thesis in 'Monkey Businesses,' we dive into a pressing question: If AI is hurtling toward superintelligence, how do we align it with universal human values—especially when 'human value' feels so relative and abstract today?
Here, we argue that true alignment requires a deeper grasp of what makes us human: Not just code or computation, but a transcendent foundation that resolves ethical voids and counters the hubris of worshipping technology as 'creation.' Drawing on neuroscience mysteries (like dream agency and DMT realms), AI thinkers' shift to animism, historical deceptions (e.g., Alice Bailey's 2025 predictions), and biblical revelation as an improbably coherent 'cheat sheet' (Bayesian odds ~1 in 10^12 against chance), this series challenges relativism and calls for clarity in the alignment debate.

If you're grappling with AI's future—like whether it's 'out-evolving' us (Connor Leahy) or simulating spirits (Yoscha Bach)—this is for you. Let's demand better than vague ethics.
Before we dive in (if I may be so bold), a quick personal note: My explorations into these ideas—self-directed and unfunded to date—stem from a deep conviction that understanding 'human value' in the AI age requires confronting our shared search for meaning.
I've offered no easy 'product' or actionable fixes, as the truths here challenge us all to rethink reality itself. Yet, this work has come at a cost: My family faces serious challenges, and my unmarketable 'persona' in today's environment leaves me seeking support from like-minded thinkers.
The world feels dizzying—market turmoil, wars, fear—but amid it, sentiment turns against God and His people, as seen in Gaza's tragedy, where evil seems to manifest unchecked. Denial won't suffice; we need coherence, starting with 'human value' as soul-deep, not relative.
If this series resonates—if it helps bridge the gaps in your own quest—consider supporting my efforts. Subscribe, share, or donate via Paypal. Your generosity could sustain this work for those, like our children, who need seeds of hope most.
May God bless us with grace and wisdom. We need Him now—not to fuel division, but to restore sanity through forgiveness, as Jesus taught: 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing' (Luke 23:34). Let's build a safer world together.
The rebellion against divine order, as delineated throughout this essay, manifests in materialism's persistent inadequacies and AI's hubristic extensions, culminating in a self-fulfilling trajectory toward chaos that biblical revelation uniquely anticipates and resolves. From neuroscience's unresolved gaps—such as Libet's readiness potential suggesting soul-transmission lags—to DMT's hyper-detailed realms defying sensory models (Gallimore, 2024: "It was a rubbish dog... my brain does a poor job without sensory inputs") and dreams' agency in pain integration (Consciousness and Cognition, 2024: "Pain is experienced in ~9.76% of dream reports among chronic sufferers"), materialism spawns speculation without anchor.¹²³ Hypnosis and lucidity offer therapeutic rewriting (Milling, 2024: "Our findings underline the potential of hypnosis to positively impact various mental and somatic treatment outcomes"), yet Pasulka's ascetic channeling (2019: "Peak physical health for downloads") risks sorcery, echoing Revelation 18:23: "By your magic spell all the nations were led astray."⁴⁵
AI amplifies this: Bernholtz's "ghost imposter" language (2025: "Language is an autonomous informational system. One might even call it an organism") and Hahn's Wolfram-inspired emergence (2025: "Software layers... virtual machines") worship creation's self-building, while Bach's cyber-animism (2024: "Software is magic... causal pattern controlling physics") reframes spirits as code—animism's rise signaling materialism's death.⁶⁷⁸ Schmidt's Genesis (2024: "Worldclass mathematicians emerge AI-based") and Church's data-driven anti-aging (2024: "AI for natural computing... but AGI could be a catastrophe," yet pushing mRNA as "proto-gene therapy saving lives") exemplify sacrificial hubris, mirroring Sadducee literalism (Acts 23:8: "Sadducees say there is no resurrection, and that there are neither angels nor spirits") and Pharisee mysticism (Matthew 23:2-3: "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat").⁹¹⁰¹¹ Both yearn for return—physical/virtual temple—but ignore the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:3-12: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth"; 6:25-34: "Do not worry about tomorrow"; 7:1-5: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged"), fostering judgment over trust.¹² Leahy's alignment failure (2025: "Failed spectacularly... game over") underscores the risks: Atheism's dread of AI out-evolving humanity is Luciferian fear in new clothes, without placeholder for hope.¹³
Historical contexts like Esalen's psi ties to NASA/Russia (Kripal, 2011: "Esalen became a bridge for East-West psi exploration") and Bailey's channeled 2025 "externalization" (1957: "By 2025... Hierarchy will externalize... new world order," p. 191) self-fulfill as deception, per Zenodo's critique (2025: "New World Religion as deception").¹⁴¹⁵¹⁶ Revelation 13:2 warns: "The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority."¹⁷ The unsung "ether"—ignored warnings—is relativism's blind spot, where creation worship perpetuates chaos.
Bayesian analysis reinforces this: Posterior ~1 in 10^12 against chance alignment, far lower than abiogenesis (1 in 10^40, Koonin, 2007: "The probability that a coupled translation system would materialize by chance is infinitesimal").¹⁸ Contrasted with Bostrom's simulation hypothesis (2003: "Unless we are now living in a simulation, our descendants will almost certainly never run an ancestor-simulation," odds ~1 if many sims), which assumes future without incident—ignoring Jesus' historical "creation" of ethics/science (Stark, 2005: "Christianity's linear time enabled inquiry")—both highlight improbabilities, but Bostrom's computational worship loops in regress, while revelation's Logos breaks it.¹⁹²⁰ No "ought" from Bostrom's "is"—materialist hand-waving—versus biblical bridge (Isaiah 55:8-9: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord).
This synthesis calls for optimism: Faith as "cheat sheet" (trust Creator, soul-spark in all) amid chaos, per Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."²¹ Future research should integrate metaphysics: Empirical tests of soul-transmission in altered states (e.g., DMT/lucidity protocols measuring non-local agency) and interdisciplinary models blending theology with AI ethics. By embracing revelation's anchor—Jesus' antithesis of sacrifice and wisdom—humanity can navigate the singularity not as end but renewal, resolving rebellion through transcendent Truth.
Having seen the Logos resolve every paradox, we now turn to how this insight can guide concrete scientific and ethical work.

¹ Patrick Haggard, “Free Will and Moral Responsibility,” Closer to Truth (2020). Recent experiments replicate Libet’s readiness‐potential findings but introduce decision contexts imbued with moral weight—showing that when actions carry real consequences, the timing and pattern of pre-conscious neural signals shift in ways that imply genuine agency. This nuance challenges strict materialist determinism and supports positioning the soul (dualism) as the true locus of the will.YouTube:
