AI and Managerial Brain Rot

It's Circles all the way down....

This is extracted from the “AI for Good Global Summit” which live-streamed just a few days ago on Youtube. I’ve been painfully making my way through it.

The segment is at 4:39:30.

The speaker is the chair of the global board of directors at Deloitte, Anna Marks.

Some people are suggesting AI is making people dumber.

That's not accurate. Instead, it amplifies who you really are.

And it would seem counterintuitive to think this woman didn't use it to help her write this speech, which is totally rambling, incoherent, and circular. The amount of times she repeats words in succession was wild to the point of bizarre. It's hard to believe this is real.

And yet it is.

This is your brain on AI + managerialism + cult Gaia worship.

But the scary part is Switzerland is launching their own AI which they claim will be based on this same kind of circular nonsensical managerialism thinking that will somehow produce ‘ethics’ by restricting the full capabilities of an LLM, which is to say what they can do that most people cannot is they ‘reason’, outside of the siloed kind of managerial, ‘expertise’ driven mindset that keeps people from saying anything that makes any sense.

How does one derive ‘ethics’ from a bunch of canned meaningless slogans?

The problem with these new agers is they have no idea what it is they’re saying or doing. Yet it didn’t start with them. It started with the new age that sees planet earth as a singular organism.

“A new consciousness is developing which sees the earth as a single organism and recognizes that an organism at war with itself is doomed. We are one planet. One of the great revelations of the age of space exploration is the image of the earth finite and lonely, somehow vulnerable, bearing the entire human species through the oceans of space and time.”

Carl Sagan”

But are we? Are you the same as your neighbour? As someone from another country or culture?

Yes, it’s great to promote ‘good’ things, but based on what?

This is the grand flaw in new age relativistic circular nonsense.

This is totally meaningless garbage driven, not by ‘intelligence’, but by a massive lack of Wisdom.
