The Curse of the LCD and its Ramifications

As with almost every day now, I watched something while enjoying a cup of Joe this Morning that showed me that yet again, there’s something about my instincts about where we’re headed that is very real, and that gives me a very real sense of trepidation. I feel my concerns are valid, and I don’t see anyone else out there raising similar concerns, though a few are. I’ll post links to couple of recent conversations I heard that I feel are properly hitting the mark on this idea I’m attempting to convey, which is unbelievably challenging, and is only amplified by the fact that I feel we, as a society, need to be having this conversation now, and the only people really doing it are, in my humble opinion, only feeding what I see as the threat to Humanity as a whole. Yes I know how dramatic that sounds, but I’m going to say it anyways, because most people appear so lost on this topic they can’t even seem to scratch the surface of what it all means. Again, I’m very short on time this morning, but I tried to depict what I’m talking about using DallE, which is ironic yet necessary.

I’m writing a much longer piece to try and express my thoughts but this challenge is admittedly overwhelming at times. I’ll try and finish it this weekend.

Today, I’d like to share two really important videos that help to convey what I see as the main issue quite nicely.

As I write this, the above video dropped less than a day ago, but again, the pace at which this is all happening feels intentionally overwhelming to me. Who’s ‘intention’ is another question I’ve attempted to bridge previously, but admittedly my style is rough and in your face which turns off Normies, not because it’s ‘aggressive’ or ‘ugly’, but in my humble opinion it just gives them the ‘trigger’ they need to reject the entire premise of the pieces. But again, I feel most of us are sleepwalking into this thing and I keep trying to shock people out of it. But if you pass the initial trigger points, I think you’ll see that I’m pointing at something very real, and very disconcerting.

Going back to the point of this post, the video regarding the new Galaxy phone with Google enabled AI, referred to as ‘generative AI’, which is actually an AI native to the device, which means it’s acting as an independent assistant. An ‘entity’, contained within the phone itself. They make a point in the presentation to suggest that whatever we use the AI to help us with will not necessarily be ‘shared’ with Samsung, or whoever, but this is obviously BS. The network of ‘systems’ that have been created all around us in our modern ‘technology’ enabled environments are all obviously being created in order to manage us and not the other way around, and this is unbelievably evident in the presentation itself, and again gets to the heart of the ‘matter’. If they don’t get what we’re doing by ‘mining’ the devices themselves, the larger ‘AI’ these people are envisioning to control it all will be fully capable of pulling ‘data’ back out of all the external searches from the device, and will be able to collate and aggregate it all using external methods, which is again, the entire point of this ‘transition’ for ‘Humanity’, that is much more about empowering this beast system to enslave us than it is about ‘freeing’ Humanity from anything.

Let me explain.

I have two Boys who are currently 9 and 10 years old, and being a Parent has been the most rewarding experience of my Life, because it teaches us to teach. It challenges us to deal with adversity, and to directly encounter what it is that Humans are, and what we do, and if I’ve learned anything from the experience, it’s that Humans don’t actually want to do anything more than the bare minimum unless there’s some incentive. This is a point that was extremely, and conveniently, well made by Milei yesterday at the WEF annual conference in Davos, where he slammed basically everything these useful idiots bureaucrats and parasites are trying to do to Humanity, and did so with Boss style.

But the point he’s making is that Davos has gone fully malignant in their thought processes, if we can even call them that. He points out how all of their attempts to create some kind of ‘agenda’ working hand in hand with the UN through their branded ‘great reset’ or ‘4IR’ or most recently ‘stakeholder capitalism’, which is neither about stakeholders nor it it about capitalism, a de facto concept holding place for free market economics, are actually destroying the capacity for Human Freedoms and thriving, and I think he’s largely correct. Going back to the Samsung/Google phone that’s purporting to be the next big thing in tech, soon to be followed by carbon copies from all phone producers no doubt, what makes it uniquely poignant to my musings is how it really is the next step towards hobbling Human potential. While most of the features are indeed incredible, I personally just see it as Humanities further decent into what I’ve been calling the ‘Superficiality crisis’ which is real and pervasive. Running out of time, so I’m going to make a couple of quick points and then share the conversations I mentioned.

If Humans depend on these devices to do everything that makes Life independent and unique, specifically Human society, then it lowers the LCD, or ‘lowest common denominator’, for Human kind. As a Parent, challenging kids to want to learn instead of be entertained, is the biggest hurdle. Ironically Tech people know this well and often teach their own children often without the devices I’m criticizing, so that’s worth noting. But the main point is, of there’s no real ‘reward’ for doing ‘something’ Humans become lazy and complacent. We’re seeing a lot of that right now. This is the encroachment of the ‘machine World’, and the way ‘it’ ‘thinks’ about things. That;’s an important point. We', Humanity, is not under attack by other Humans, we’re under attack by an Idea. A Principality.

And that is evident by the first part of this clown World enthusiasts first points, as the first thing that the machine World is attempting to ‘attack’ is our creativity.

So what does that say about what will be left for Humans to do? We will either fit the mold created by the space left by the machine World, or we will be left out of the ‘equation’. I really need people to understand this.

Okay I have to run, but I’ll leave you with two thought provoking conversations to meditate on this. I think they’re over the target.

Christianity, I often argue, made the main contribution towards enabling Human Freedom. This effort of the machine World wants to reverse that progress, though it pretends to be doing the opposite.
